Abundant Natural Resources
Sustainability and the good use of the natural resources are of key traditional importance for this Euroregion’s new economy development. EUROACE has one of the most naturally rich areas at the Mediterranean forest of Holm oaks (dehesa). More than 40% of the Euroregion’s land surface corresponds to forest areas and nature. EUROACE has the largest network of reservoirs on the Iberian Peninsula with thousands of kilometres of interior coastline and numerous possibilities of use (industry, irrigation, energy production and tourism).
 
Its rich culture and tradition made possible that nine enclaves are recognized as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. The tourist options are very diverse: nature tourism, cultural and artistic tourism, hunting, agrotourism, etc.
